What is Arvel Working on? 11/09/2012

So a little update on what's going on. As you might have noticed there have been a few changes to the release schedule. PCU #3 will be coming out before the end of the year, though I can't say for sure when, though I have an inkling. Just don't want to tell the wrong date...again. lol

Wolf Bonds 2 will be coming out sometime next weekend (Nov 17-18th). There are one or two others I have plans on releasing, but until their almost ready for release I'll wait on saying what. Anyway, you should expect fun stuff coming soon.

Also I'll be putting out a special Christmas story release sometime in December. It will be free for those who have signed up for the mailing list. (You have to be on the mailing list when I release it or you'll miss out. If you sign up after I send the free story out you won't get it.) So if you've been thinking of signing up for the release notification mailing list, now is the time to do it.

The mailing list is where I send out notification about a new release, that's it. The only time the notification goes out is when I release a new title, so you don't have to worry about spam or lots of promo emails. Originally, I was planning to put this short story out after PCU #1, but things happened and I went on to focus on PCU #2 instead. Then inspiration hit and I was able to get PCU #0 the way I liked it. So here it is. What is Arvel Working On? 09/26/2012

So September didn't end up being as release heavy as I expected. PCU #3 is taking a bit longer to get out, but I'm hoping to release it in the second week of October. In the meantime, there is a new release coming out this week, so keep your eyes open for that.

Since it's almost October let me go over some of the releases slated for the upcoming month.

- His Own sequel

I know some readers are waiting for the second story in the Demon Marked series as well. I haven't forgotten it, but I did decide to wait until I finish up with the His stories before I continue with Demon Marked. It won't be too long a wait. I plan only two more stories in the His series - the sequel and then a third final story.

Besides that, here is a bit of info about what I'll be releasing for September. 

September I'll be releasing the second short in the Consent world and PCU: Touch #3. There are a few other stories that may be released as well, but those you'll have to wait and see. 

I also did some switching around of some of the planned releases. I decided, due to Crossroads Beat being so similar to PCU (paranormal crimes), I'm going to release Crossroads next year. Instead, I'll be releasing the shapeshifter series, Outsiders, in its place. So look forward to that!

Short Excerpt from Burning Touch (PCU: The Touch #2)

So it's been a little while since I posted so I decided to give a little excerpt from Burning Touch. It's very short, but the good news is that the book will be coming out very, very soon.

Micah stepped out. He looked between us.

"I'm interrupting."

Allison laughed and shook her head. "Nope. He's all yours."

She ran past and into the shop before I could ask her what she was going to say, and then I was looking up at Micah. I swallowed. I hadn't called like I had promised. I could explain that I had been busy, but even I knew that was a horrible excuse, especially after our last conversation. We look at each other in an awkward silence. Micah spoke first.

"Should I go?"

I shook my head. "No, I'm glad you're here."

He smiled. "Are you sure?"

I nodded. I was. That had always been part of the problem - my reaction to him. As soon as I saw him, everything else just became background noise. That wasn't normal. At least I didn't think it was.

He took a step forward and then he was kissing me. The kiss burned through me and I pressed against him, my hand roughly burying into the hair at the back of his nape. His tongue slid into my mouth, rubbing against mine. His taste was addictive, and there was no way it was normal to feel so intensely for another person.

He rubbed against me and I moaned. He finally released my mouth and when he looked at me his hazel eyes were hot with need and I knew my own gaze was the same.

"When does this end?" he asked, referring to the book signing.

"A few more hours," I said.

He nodded and reluctantly pulled away. "You better get inside."

I found myself reluctant. "We have a few minutes."

"We'll need longer than a few minutes if you stay out here."
